Dana Al-Nafisi is a pioneer among the flourishing landscape of Kuwaiti jewelry designers, launching her brand, DANAFISI, in 2007.

Her passion for luxurious accessories and jewelry was evident from a young age. From humble beginnings whereby she created simple, personalized bracelets for family and friends, Dana’s unique designs steadily grew into a recognizable brand, leading to a full-fledged jewelry line and business.

Driven by a commitment to excellence, Dana has mastered her craft at prestigious institutions in London, Florence, and Milan. After obtaining degrees from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and Central Saint Martins in 2010, Dana continued her pursuit of knowledge in Italy in 2015, where she was given the opportunity to collaborate with a major Italian jewelry brand and undergo artist mentorship while acquiring her master’s degree in 2017.

Dana’s transformative experience in Italy had a profound impact on both her designs and mindset, with distinct influences of Italian art and design seeping into her creations. Her time in Milan instilled a stronger sense of business acumen within her, with the fast pace of the city inspiring her to embrace the duality of being an artist and entrepreneur. Italy’s rich culture continues to play a large role in Dana’s life, from her frequent visits back to the artistic elements found within her designs.

Dana’s bold, striking jewelry uses an innovative blend of rich metals and precious stones to create pieces that convey a modern sensibility. Her passion for immaculate and detailed craftsmanship is reflected in her one-of-a-kind collections and customized pieces.

This precision and brand identity has made her an internationally acclaimed jeweler, attaining recognition and popularity among Hollywood stars, international publications, and jewelry exhibitions.


DANAFISI was born in 2007 out of a passion for luxurious jewelry, uncompromising craftsmanship, and a simple and elegant vision.

The brand had local beginnings, with designer, Dana Al-Nafisi, participating in solo and group exhibitions to present her pieces, which quickly captured the attention of local clientele. In 2011, Dana set her sights internationally, participating in Eclat de Mode (Paris) that same year followed by the International Jewelry Show (London) in 2012. The resultant exposure led to an invitation to show her pieces at the Golden Globes suites (Los Angeles, USA) in 2013. The same year saw her Kout Collection featured at Harrods.

2014 has seen further expansion of the brand when it was featured in The Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts’ Club Yearbook 2014. The accompanying launch event took place in London. In May, DANAFISI participated in the 67th annual Cannes Film Festival with several celebrities choosing from the collections for the red carpet. In addition, Lambert Wilson, Master of Ceremonies at the festival, sported DANAFISI cufflinks. The success at Cannes was followed by participation in the JCK Las Vegas 2014 jewelry show.
